Correctly, the rest of the state is Kashmir but in practice this title is reserved for the beautiful valley of Kashmir, a large Himalayan valley in the north of the state. A spell on a houseboat on Dal Lake has always been one of India's real treats and Kashmir also offers some delightful trekking opportunities and unsurpassed scenery. Set in the womb of the Himalayas and gifted with beautiful and inspiring natural scenery, it emerged as a highly advanced seat of learning from very early times, taking its place along with the famous Universities of  Taxila and Nalanda.Ramparts of high mountains and seclusion of the land helped her top reserve the life and conditions of early times which is rather difficult to resuscitate in regard to other such mountainous regions. The cultural heritage of Kashmir is, therefore, very rich and derives its inspiration and strength both from her natural environs and the rich literature and literary traditions alike.

'Vaishnavi' means the one who is related to lord "Vishnu''. Goddess Vaishnavi is the manifestation of the
collective spiritual strengths of Mata Maha Kali, Mata Maha Lakshmi and Mata Maha Saraswati. It is  described in Durga Sapatshati that the goddess was born as a young girl of extraordinary beauty and  strength, out of the collectively pooled 'Tejas' of various 'Devtas' and three lords Brahma, Vishnu and Shankar. The immediate purpose of the creation of the goddess was the annihilation of Asura (Devil) Mahishasura. However another purpose of her creation was that she might usher on earth an era of pious and ascetic life so that the peace could prevail upon the world and she through her penance could rise to higher levels of spirituality and ultimately merge with Vishnu.

DAY 01: Arrive at Srinagar airport
Arrive at Srinagar airport. Transfer o houseboat. Day free. Enjoy evening ride in Shikara. Night hault in Srinagar. 

DAY 02: SRINAGR Full day sightseeing in Srinagar. Proceed to visit the famous Mughal Gardens “NISHAT BAGH“ and “SHALIMAR BAGH” & "Shankaracharya Temple" atop the hill called Takht-e-Suleiman by cars. Evening enjoy a shikara ride in the serene Dal lake waters. Night  hault in Srinagar.

DAY 03: SRINAGAR /Gulmarg / SRINAGAR (56 kms )
Proceed to Gulmarg. Morning after breakfast depart by surface to visit Gulmarg. Full day to enjoy Gulmarg on your own. One can enjoy horse riding / Cable car ride (to be paid directly by the guest) in Gulmarg. Evening return back to the Srinagar houseboat for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 04:  SRINAGAR TO PAHALGAM (100 kms)
Morning after breakfast depart by surface to Pahalgam which is at a distance of 96 kms one way. Enroute visit Avantipur ruins, Cricket bat factory and view Pampore Saffron fields. Arrive at Pahalgam and enjoy photography in the evening.

DAY 05: PAHALGAM
Full day for relaxation & sightseeing in Pahalgam. Proceed to Chandanwari for a magnificent view of Lidder valley. Afternoon free for shopping or the Lidder riverside trek. Night hault in Pahalgam

DAY 06: PAHALGAM to KATRA 
Proceed to Katra Arrive & transfer to hotel. Night hault in Katra. 

DAY 07: KATRA
Darshan of the Mata Vaishnodeviji (on your own). Night hault in Katra

DAY 08: KATRA to JAMMU
Transfer to Jammu airport / railway station. Travel back home.
